Club Chaplain Fred Sumrall
prayed before each race. There were five races on Saturday and four on Sunday. Several injured riders were prayed
for. Two young women racers were both believed to have a broken femur, but the actual injuries were less severe than
originally diagnosed. One rider suffered a severe concusion and another had a back-neck injury.
Fred had
a chance to talk with a woman at the event who broke both of her heels in a race accident earlier in the season.
Life has been especially difficult for her since her accident because her boyfriend died recently in an accident. Fred
prayed with her as well.
